They asked their advertising agencies for ideas that would show the Resident Evil experience without relying solely on gameplay, and the one that struck them featured a zombie following a guy around like a dog. every now and then.
Luckily, the concept was open to some interpretation. Some saw the infected creature not as the man’s pet, but as a figment of his imagination—the after-effects of playing too much Resident Evil.
